It highlights how serious gaming and immersion are used to help students connect with curriculum content. Examples of technology-based educational programs that have been successfully implemented within the school context are provided. Innovative technology can help reconceptualize how well-being is taught within schools and make learning about well-being more engaging, tangible, and personalized. We highlight a new optimal performance and well-being program called Bio-Dash that was codesigned by a research team and students from an independent school in Australia. Bio-Dash combines sports, health, and well-being science with technological innovation to transform how young people learn about well-being. The program equips students with evidence-based strategies to focus, manage stress and anxiety, and thrive in everyday life in areas such as academics, sport, performing arts, or social relationships. An overview of the development and delivery of Bio-Dash provides key components such as the conceptual underpinnings, the codesign process, technology and software used, and the practical challenges faced by the use of innovation in the classroom. Finally, we provide recommendations for implementing well-being programs within schools and for integrating technological innovations for enhanced learning. We conclude by emphasizing that schools need to stay abreast of new technologies given that young people are digital natives and that innovative technology cannot only motivate and engage young people but can transform the way they learn about well-being." @default.
