- W4213028202 abstract "Sodium (Na) metal anode has attracted wide attention for the high specific theoretical capacity (1166 mAh g −1 ) and low reduction potential. However, the major issue encountered is the uneven Na plating/stripping behavior, which leads to the dendrite growth, dead Na, consumption of electrolyte with the formation of new solid electrolyte interphase, and even short circuit. Thus, this chapter offers a comprehensive review of the strategies to achieve a controllable and optimized Na plating/stripping behavior including the modification of electrolyte, construction of novel current collectors for Na metal, and alloying Na metal. The importance, mechanisms, and respective electrochemical properties achieved for each strategy are discussed in detail." @default.
