- W4213059682 abstract "Against the background of the COVID-19, the global economic situation is not optimistic. The Job performance of employees is the basis of corporate interests, and the choice of management style will directly affect employees' work mentality and behavior. Based on the survey data of 963 employees in high-tech enterprises across China, this paper uses the hierarchical regression method to explore the influence mechanism of abusive management (AS) on job performance (JP). Common method deviation (CMV) showed no obvious common method bias problem in the data collected in this study. The results showed that there was significant negative correlation between abusive management and job performance <tex>$(beta=-0.023, mathrm{p} < 0.05)$</tex>. The relationship between abusive management and job performance was partially mediated by job insecurity (JI). After adding job insecurity as mediating variable between AS and JP, the effect of abusive management on job performance changes from <tex>$beta=-0.042$</tex> (p<0.05) to <tex>$beta=-0.029$</tex> (p <0.05). The bootstrap method was also used in this study to test the mediating effect. Self-efficacy (SE) and job insecurity had significant interaction, and the coefficient is <tex>$beta=-0.112(mathrm{p} < 0.05)$</tex>. So, SE moderated the relationship between job insecurity and job performance." @default.
