- W4214651645 abstract "Download : Download high-res image (118KB)Download : Download full-size image A 39-year-old Class II female brachyfacial patient presented 19 years ago with lost molars in the mandibular right region, ipsilateral supraerupted maxillary second and third molars, and heavily restored dentition. She complained of her deep overbite. Her treatment primarily focused on using an endosseous dental implant that served a dual purpose: providing intramaxillary and interarch anchorage to correct the supraerupted maxillary molars and the Class II malocclusion. Furthermore, on completion of treatment, this endosseous implant acted as a prosthetic replacement, and a second implant was placed mesial to it after interocclusal space was obtained through the intrusion of the maxillary second and third molars. This article presents an update 17 years after the completion of treatment. Her recent records illustrate stable and esthetic occlusion with adequate interincisal relationship, a harmonious profile, and adequate bone quality surrounding the dental implants. She had only lost her mandibular left first molar, which previously had a chronic periapical lesion and was heavily restored." @default.
