By changing or controlling the shape of the nanocatalyst, we could obtain the excellent chemical alternation, stability, and electric/optical properties. This chapter aims to explore the mechanism of shape change and discuss the most used catalysts, such as platinum-, cobalt-, iron-, and nickel-based compounds. The roles of reducing agent and capping agent for various shapes, such as nanosphere, nanocube, nanowire, and nanodisk have been explained. As reported, the efficiency of the fuel cells could be go up-direction by choosing suitable shape for the specific catalysts in their electrochemical reactions." @default.
