- W4220844791 abstract "
<title>BACKGROUND</title> Early prevention of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) can not only reduce the incidence of GDM, but also adverse perinatal pregnancy outcomes, and it is also of great significance to prevent or reduce the occurrence of type 2 diabetes. Mobile health (mHealth) APP can help pregnant women effectively prevent GDM by providing risk prediction, lifestyle support, peer support, professional support, and other functions. Before designing mobile health apps, developers must understand the views and needs of pregnant women, and closely combine the needs for users to develop APP functions, in order that better improve user experience and increase the usage rate of the APP in the future.
<title>OBJECTIVE</title> To better understand the views of the high-risk population of gestational diabetes on the development of mobile health APP and the demand for APP functions, so as to provide a basis for the development of gestational diabetes prevention APP.
<title>METHODS</title> From July to September 2021, 15 pregnant women with at least one risk factors for gestational diabetes were interviewed by a semi-structured interview using the purpose sampling method. The transcribed data were analyzed by the traditional content analysis method and themes were extracted.
<title>RESULTS</title> This study extracts 3 themes, 14 sub-themes, respectively for mobile APP development health requirements (clearly interface plate and logic, feature-rich), APP for mobile health APP main functional requirements (personalized diet custom and dietary alternative function, recommend appropriate exercise and auxiliary monitoring functions, weight control and monitoring records, biofeedback function), and the demand for mobile health APP auxiliary function (precise recommendation information, short Video and recording functions, convenient professional support, reasonable reminder function, peer support function, maternal and infant assistance function, convenient recording function, less demanded bonus points function).
<title>CONCLUSIONS</title> It is suggested that in the future's APP development, the characteristics and needs of users should be fully considered, the interface design should be more concise, the logic should be clearer, and the function settings should be as diversified as possible, so as to give full play to the APP's auxiliary monitoring function for health management, to better improve the use experience of pregnant women and increase the usage rate of the APP.
" @default.
