- W4224301672 abstract "This paper’s aim is to find out the suitability of recycled plastic trash and construction and demolition debris (C & D) into paver blocks, with the goal of lowering the paver block's cost when compared to a traditional concrete paver block. Nowadays plastic has become a major problem, as plastic is non-biodegradable material it blocks drains, pollutes rivers and affect the environment. In India, over 56 lakh tonnes of plastic waste are created each year. Because plastic waste degradation is a long process, an idea of combining C & D trash with melted polyethylene terephthalate plastic waste to form a paver block was reviewed. The use of polyethylene terephthalate type plastic was considered for this report. The concrete waste part is considered as C & D waste for the present study for the convenience of narrowing the results. The effect of mechanical strength test such as compressive strength and flexural test along with durability tests such as water absorption test and fire resistance test were studied. The possible mix proportions were studied and noticed that no water is required as the hot liquid plastic helps to combine all the ingredients. Hence, we have an “eco-friendly” paving block." @default.
