- W4225444345 abstract "The calculation methods of the productivity of ball-rolling mills is given and the effect of design and technological factors on the productivity of ball-rolling mills is considered. It is established that the most effective factors in improving of the productivity of ball-rolling mills is increase in the roll-in and rotational speed of rolls, which are limited by the quality of the rolled balls, mainly due to the quality of the ball-rolling rolls, determined by the quality of grooving (shape of groove) of the roll s, the accuracy of their manufacture and adjustment. The use of over-threated low-energy monotonous grooving of ball-rolling rolls having smooth monotonous change in the pitch of screw groove allows to create rolls with smooth ball forming mode, which reduces the load during rolling and improves the quality of balls while increasing the durability of the rolls. At the same time, these advantages allow to increase the rolling speed. The use of such roll grooving is currently the most efective way to increase the productivity of ball-rolling mills." @default.
