- W4226410014 abstract "Photochemical vapor generation (PCVG) is a newly emerging chemical vapor generation (CVG) technique and considered a complementary methodology to CVG and even a powerful alternative to conventional CVG for some elements. Thanks to its inherent advantages such as high sampling efficiency and less interferences from matrices, it has been widely applied in analytical atomic spectrometry, serving as a gaseous sample introduction technique. Unfortunately, the PCVG efficiencies for some elements are too low to be useful; fortunately, catalyst assisted-PCVG can, in many cases, significantly enhance efficiency prior to analytical atomic spectrometric measurement. In this chapter, catalysts for PCVG used with atomic/molecular spectrometry are summarized, covering four areas, including TiO 2 , TiO 2 -based composites, metal–organic frameworks, and metal ion–assisted PCVG." @default.
