- W4229014032 abstract "Both CuInP 2 S 6 (CIPS)-layered compounds and indium-rich CuIn 1+ δ P 2 S 6 crystals have noticeable ionic conductivity. In the paraelectric phase DC conductivity is followed by Arrhenius equation with an activation energy of E A = 0.71 eV for pure CIPS and 0.94 eV for indium-rich compound. In the CuInP 2 S 6 crystal, a hopping mechanism for Cu ions has been proposed. Dielectric and conductivity properties change dramatically in the indium-rich structure CuIn 1+ δ P 2 S 6 (where δ = 0.1 corresponds to 10% of In 2 S 3 ). In comparison to CuInP 2 S 6 , it was discovered that excessive indium addition raises the phase transition temperature from 315 to roughly 330 K. The DC conductivity activation energy of CuCrP 2 S 6 was discovered to obey the Arrhenius law, with an activation energy E A = 0.67 eV, which is somewhat similar to that of CIPS. At the phase transition, detailed investigations of low-frequency noise characteristics of a ferrielectric CuInP 2 S 6 crystal are presented. The white noise spectra are observed at room temperature. Above the phase transition temperature, the voltage noise spectra are defined by 1/f noise. To gain a better understanding of the phenomenon of 1/f noise in the CuInP 2 S 6 crystal, Lorentzian-type spectra were used to investigate the normalized voltage fluctuation density. The carrier number fluctuation due to recombination between defect levels is the source of the 1/f noise in the CuInP 2 S 6 crystal. The results show that noise spectroscopy is a reliable, sensitive, and non-destructive tool for characterization of ferroelectric materials, complementing other measurement techniques." @default.
