- W4229074494 abstract "Wireless medical devices are more in demand due to swift augmentation in the research of remotely diagnosed systems as they provide long term medical assistance. Such devices typically contain a sensor to detect the bio-signals from the patient. But the sensed signals are extremely weak to be further processed and are thus easily susceptible to noise. Hence, a low noise amplifier (LNA) is used post sensor to amplify the weak signal and to reduce the effect of noise. This paper mainly focuses on the LNA suitable for ECG signal acquisition systems to record the electrical motion of a patient's heart. As LNA is the most power thirsty block of the signal acquisition system, this review concentrates on low power LNA suitable for implantable technologies. Since integrated circuit technology provide miniaturization and low power consumption, integrated LNAs are popularly used in the implants. So, the recent integrated low noise low power amplifier designs with high performance and functionality are reviewed mentioning the pros and cons of the designs. Applications of integrated circuit based LNAs are as well referred. The review is concluded with future outlooks and important challenges regarding ECG signal amplification." @default.
