- W4229369500 abstract "In the agriculture system, weed emergence is going to a major constraint to cropped as well as non-cropped areas. They compete with crop plants and hinder their uptake of nutrients, water, and space by suppressing their growth, which ultimately reduces crop yield as well as quality of produce. Due to the dynamic nature of weeds, adoption attains a presence of serious magnitude in different parts of the country. Thus, the prior need is to adopt practices that lead to prevention of weed establishment within the cultivated crop and also protect the environment from these hazards. In this chapter, the authors discuss the management strategies to mitigate the adverse effect of weeds on agricultural productivity and environmental health using green technology. Green technology is a combination of management techniques to keep the soil alive and in good health by the adoption of eco-friendly management practices such as soil solarization, plant arrangement, crop rotation, cultural practices, etc. Some future prospects of weeds management are also discussed here." @default.
