The full production, commenced Q1 2000, is planned to come from three deep gas-condensate fields (Saih Rawl, Barik and Saih Nihayda) situated in the Central Oman Area. The three gas-condensate fields contain gas and condensate reserves in excess of 18 tcf, and 0.5 billion bbl respectively. The complex phase behavior of such rich gas-condensate fluid coupled with low reservoir quality has made reservoir development options challenging, sometimes reaching the limit of conventional simulation and stimulationThis paper will present the state-of-the-art multidisciplinary approach followed in managing reservoir uncertainties in Saih Rawl and Barik fields. As a result both static and dynamic uncertainties have been reduced whilst building up capacity to meet contractual requirements.
