Dr. Hagedorn's research focuses on community college issues, college retention of underrepresented student groups, and equity. Bill Maxwell is a sociologist interested in international comparisons of student access, persistence, and completion, particularly in community colleges and universities. Among community college students, he has studied race and ethnic relations and learning communities. His research has also compared educational policies in several societies of the Pacific Rim. Scott Cypers is a recent graduate of USC's counseling psychology doctoral program and is currently working as a Visiting Faculty Member at the University of Maryland's Counseling Psychology Program as well as a Staff Psychologist at Georgetown University's Counseling & Psychiatric Services. His research interests focus on multicultural identity development and the effects of identity on educational success, training, and mental health outcomes. He has served in various roles in the TRUCCS project. Hye Sun Moon is the Research Analyst, Office of Institutional Research and Center for Academic and Professional Enhancement at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Her research interests are in assessing student learning outcomes and institutional effectiveness. Jaime Lester is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Leadership and Counseling at Old Dominion University. For the last few years, Dr. Lester has been a research assistant in the Center for Higher Education and Policy Analysis, primarily working on the Transfer and Retention of Urban Community College Students (TRUCCS) project. Dr. Lester has recently completed an ethnographic study that applied feminist performance theories to gender equity among faculty at an urban community college.William E.
