Die Diederwinkel der Benzolring-ebenen betragen in den Biphenyleinheiten 54° und in den Stilbengruppierungen 99°. Die Benzolringebene bildet mit der Doppelbindungsebene einen Winkel von 49°. The molecular symmetry in the crystal is 2 (C2) and has only small deviations from 222 (D2). Different molecular axes of two independent molecules coincide with a crystallographic twofold symmetry element. Within the molecule both olefinic double bonds are crossed by an angle of 33.5° and their centers are separated by 2.964 Å. Because of transannular contacts the angles are enlarged within the twelve membered ring. The dihedral angle between the planes of the benzene rings is 54° within the biphenyl group and 99° within the stilbene group. The corresponding angle between these planes and the plane of the double bond is 49°." @default.
