- W4236656559 abstract "Here we analyze, both theoretically and experimentally, harmonic generation at resonance conditions in various plasmas. In tin, the observation of enhanced 16th and 17th harmonics was attributed to the influence of strong ionic transitions. Theoretical calculations of the photoabsorption spectra reveal the decisive role of Sn II and Sn III transitions in the enhancement of single harmonics. Enhanced single-harmonic generation is analyzed in indium laser ablation plasmas at excitation conditions of multicycle (30 ;fs) and few-cycle (3.5 fs) pulses. The tuning of odd and even high-order harmonics of ultrashort pulses along the strong resonance of laser-produced indium plasma using optical parametric amplifier of white-light continuum radiation (1250–1400 nm) allowed observation of different harmonics enhanced in the vicinity of resonance transition of In II ions. We discuss the generation of enhanced tunable harmonics of the mid-infrared, 65 fs pulses in laser-produced zinc plasma in the regions of Zn II and Zn III autoionizing states (77 and 68 nm, respectively). The role of singly and doubly ionized zinc in modification of harmonic spectra was analyzed by variation of plasma formation conditions. Tuning of odd and even high-order harmonics along the resonances of various laser-produced plasmas using 1250–1400 nm radiation and its second harmonic is analyzed. Finally, we discuss the model of resonant high harmonic generation in multi-electron systems." @default.
