It emphasizes important phenomena, such as very precise 3D product characterization, that are either not addressed or coarsely presented in computer vision. Many techniques from computer vision have been used to support different elements of the photogrammetric workflow, such as feature matching, self-calibration, and dense object space reconstruction. From the perspective of navigation, photogrammetry offers two elements that are relevant to achieve ubiquitous and resilient high-performance navigation anywhere and anytime. First, the growing number of geospatial databases provide multiple coverage of Earth, including optical imagery and elevation models at various spatial and temporal resolutions. The second factor is the capability for rigorous sensor modeling of the optical sensor system, implemented by bundle adjustment." @default.
