Preliminary validation of this contra‐thermodynamic E → Z isomerization is demonstrated in a series of stereoretentive transformations to generate Z ‐configured trisubstituted alkenes, as well as in a concise synthesis of the anti‐tumor agent Combretastatin A4." @default.
