The scope of the method is limited by the modes of electrical conduction in available oxide electrolytes. More measurements in this field, particularly at higher temperatures, are needed before the full range of applicability can be assessed.Particular attention is given to the measurement of oxygen in molten steel. Résumé Une esquisse est donnée des principes des methodes de f.é.m. pour la détermination des activités des composants d'alliages.Après une revue de la bibliographie traitant des cenules galvaniques àelectrolyte solide pour la mesure des activités de l'oxygene, leur application aux métaux liquides est décrite. L'applicabilité de la méthode est limitée par les modalites de conduction électrique dans les electrolytes-oxydes disponibles. Il y aura besoin de mesures additionnelles dans ce domaine, surtout à températures plus élevées, pour pouvoir évaluer l'entière étendue de l'applicabilité de la méthode.Une attention particulière est accordèe aux mesures d'oxygène dans I'acier fondu." @default.
