Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan A = Penyimpanan 0 hari, B = Penyimpanan 7 Hari, C = Penyimpanan 14 Hari, D = Penyimpanan 21 Hari. Parameter yang diamati adalah pH, NH 3 dan VFA Total. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pH dan VFA Total berpengaruh sangat nyata, namun NH 3 tidak berpengaruh nyata. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini lama penyimpanan pakan wafer limbah sayuran berpengaruh terhadap pH cairan rumen dan VFA Total. Namun tidak berpengaruh pada NH 3 . Lama penyimpanan yang terbaik pada hari ke 14. Konsentrasi pH, VFA Total dan NH 3 berada pada kondisi optimal untuk pertumbuhan aktivitas mikroba. Kata kunci : Lama penyimpanan, pH, NH 3 dan VFA Total Effect of Storage Duration on In-vitro Total VFA and NH 3 Production of Vegetable Waste as Wafer Feed ABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the effect of storage duration on total VFA and NH 3 production of vegetable waste as wafer feed. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. Treatment A = duration-storage 0 days, B = duration-storage 7 Days, C = duration-storage 14 Days, D = duration-storage 21 Days. This study was observed pH, NH 3, and a total of VFA. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). From the results of the study, it is shown that there are significant differences in the pH of the rumen (P<0.05); the pH value of rumen fluid is still under normal circumstances (6,86-8,91). The duration of storage of the vegetable waste feed had a significant effect on total VFA (P<0.05). Total VFA production ranges from 91.65 – 115.15 mM, which is still the criteria for the optimum level of VFA production. However, in this study, the storage duration of vegetable waste wafer feed had no significant effect on NH 3 . The NH 3 average value of the study was 8.46-9.90 mM, which is still in the optimum condition for microbial protein synthesis. The result implies 14 days of duration storage is the best treatment. The concentration of pH, Total VFA, and NH3 were at the optimal conditions for the growth of microbial activity." @default.
