- W4280565700 abstract "This work numerically simulates the particle dispersion on a novel vibrating screen by CFD-DEM (Computational Fluid Dynamics coupling Discrete Element Method). Three dispersion indexes are defined to refine the effect of various screening times and areas on particle dispersion features. Impacts of ladder variables of the novel screen on airflow distributions and instantaneous and comprehensive dispersion degrees of particles are investigated. With the ladder angle increasing, airflow velocity increases gradually. Comprehensive dispersion degrees Dxy and Dxz of particles perpendicular to and along entire screen surfaces increase initially and then decrease. When the ladder angle is 110°, Dxy and Dxz are greater, with 68.53 mm and 68.92 mm. As the ladder length increases, airflow velocity becomes M-shaped and Dxy and Dxz increase continuously. When the ladder length is 70 mm, Dxy and Dxz are higher, with 72.51 mm and 73.05 mm. These findings guide reducing particle accumulation on planar-linear screens." @default.
