- W4281694533 abstract "Power cables are an important carrier for the transmission of electrical energy in power systems. For the safe operation of power systems, online monitoring and evaluation of the operational status of power cables is vital. This paper reviews the recent research status of online monitoring of multiple parameters in power cables, including temperature, vibration, stress, partial discharge, sheath current, dielectric loss and DC component. Various different methods for assessing the condition of power cables are also reviewed and the latest research advances in multi-parameter intelligent operation and maintenance techniques for power cables are summarised. Although considerable progress has been made in condition online monitoring and evaluation in terms of measurement methods, measurement accuracy and fault location, there are still many shortcomings that require further research, including the reliability of the long-term operation of sensors, the accuracy, sensitivity and anti-interference performance of sensors, the effectiveness of data acquisition and transmission and the accuracy of fault location methods. Existing challenges and prospects for the development of research into online monitoring of power cables are presented." @default.
