- W4283208518 abstract "An aircraft may veer off the runway and severe ground directional instability accidents may take place resulting from asymmetric disturbance during a taxiing process. Thus an aircraft ground taxiing nonlinear dynamic model is established in MATLAB/Simulink and the numerical continuation method based on the bifurcation theory is used to study the tire stiffness asymmetry influence on the aircraft taxiing global directional stability in the nonlinear dynamics system. Then, the aircraft motion states and the force characteristics are analyzed during the turning process under three typical Hopf bifurcation unstable turning conditions. Furthermore, the dual-parameter bifurcation stability curve is obtained by introducing the front wheel steering angle as an additional bifurcation parameter. The results show that when the difference of the vertical stiffness between the two main tires is greater than 10 times, and also the aircraft rolling direction leading from the tire stiffness asymmetry is opposite to that caused by the nose wheel steering control, the tire stiffness asymmetry has significant influence on the aircraft ground taxiing directional stability." @default.
