- W4283314022 abstract "One of the subdistricts located downstream of the Belawan Watershed is Hamparan Perak. The population in the Deli Serdang Regency is increasing every year. It causes increasing of land needs to be expanded in to any forms. Currently, there is no available data and information related to land-use changes, impacts and responses carried out in Hamparan Perak that can be used to support planning data in managing this area. Hamparan Perak is included in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. This study analyses land-use changes in Hamparan Perak over five- and ten-year periods. A ground check is carried out on several types of land-use to ensure the results of image interpretation that have been carried out. A change-detection analysis is made available in the geographic information system to find out changes in land-use. Trigger factors, pressures and impacts of land-use changes and the responses carried out were analysed using the DPSIR approach (driving force, pressure, state, impact, response). Based on the study results, the types of land-use that experienced an increase in area were industrial, oil palm plantations, rubber plantations, settlements, shrubs and sugarcane plantations. The types of land-use that decreased were mangrove forests, mixed gardens, open land, paddy fields and ponds. Changes in land-use impact reduced biodiversity, damaged mangroves and decreased rice production." @default.
