- W4283812684 abstract "Magnetic transition metal (TM) ions co-doped ZnO nanoparticles (AxBxZn1-2xO; A&B = TM = Ni, Mn, Fe & Co, x = 0.01) were prepared using sol-gel technique. The particle size growth was restricted by capping with citric acid and ethylene glycol. XRD and Raman studies confirmed the formation of the wurzite phase without any secondary crystal structure. The crystallite sizes as calculated by Scherrer equation ranges from 20 nm to 80 nm for the different doped samples. Photoluminescence studies reveal the presence of point defects in all the samples. The defect structures were also confirmed by Raman spectroscopy. The magnetic measurements at room temperature show a defect mediated weak ferromagnetic interaction at low magnetic fields." @default.
