He denied gastrointestinal and genitourinary symptoms. Examination was negative for palpable inguinal lymphadenopathy. Intertrigo frequently appears bilaterally and would respond to drying and topical antifungal or steroids. The macerated thin eroded pink plaque seen in this case is clinically consistent with EMPD and exhibits epidermal infiltration of large, atypical, pale pagetoid cells (Fig 2).
