- W4285149745 abstract "How do communities develop through community functions such as succession is being examined here. Factors affecting ecological succession, attainment of climax, and different theories ecological climax are dealt here. Functional organization of community in terms of trophic levels, food chains, and food webs are briefly discussed here. Through various trophic levels, the energy moves from one trophic level to another with loss of heat while being transferred and the role of autotrophs, heterotrophs, and detritivores have been examined. All living organisms in a community occurs at different trophic levels as autotrophs, heterotrophs, and detritivores which are explained under tri-trophic interaction involving host plant, insect herbivore, and natural enemies. Various physical and biochemical constituents of plants affect these tri-trophic interactions that ultimately lead to coexistence of species at tri-trophic and multitrophic level in balance of life. The concept of keynote predation has been introduced. And finally, the role of transgenic crops in the context of tri-trophic interaction has been examined by taking few case studies." @default.
