In most cases, students have fully booked and busy schedules, so they come to class exhausted and demotivated, which affects their learning experience negatively.Therefore, I started looking for techniques that would help energise my students and grab their attention, to develop an effective learning environment.Undoutably, Students’ Engagement is a key aspect of teaching and learning. It has its big impact on how students gain the knowledge, and how they incorporate and internalise it in their lives later. It is also a recognisable indicator of success that promote higher level of thinking and enduring understanding. Added to that, it changes the role of the students from being passive into active participant within the learning experience.In fact, it is believed that learning is a social activity, and it does not happen in isolation, thus, I adapted of the flipped classroom model, which was introduced as an Action Research. I needed to have this change to ensure that the students are gaining the knowledge effectively and confidently while being participative in the learning process. As a result, my class became active and alive, students were contributing and enjoying a successful learning environment, while I maintained my support and guidance. I also enjoyed my time with students, improved my practice as a teacher and got motivated and encouraged to give more. In my opinion, the AR gave me the chance to review and reflect on my practice as an academic, through a systematic process to improve it. Perusing of an action/change/intervention initiated a room for understanding my role as a teacher, how to improve it to enhance my students’ performance." @default.
