- W4285491289 abstract "This study aims to assess the toxicity of lead Pb+2 and anthracene in zebrafish (Danio rerio) eleutheroembryos survival, development, behaviour and neurotoxicity. Fish-embryo toxicity (FET) tests were conducted according to the OECD guideline TG 236. The video tracking system Zebrabox® was used to evaluate the effects of these chemicals on 120 hours post fecundation (hpf) larvae behaviour. Data showed that both chemicals have a moderate toxic effect on fish embryo survival: Pb+2 96 h-LC50 value was 76.51 mg/L. Anthracene 96 h-LC50 value was 133.35 mg/L. Anthracene decreased total swimming distance (TSD) and total swimming time (TST) suggesting hypoactivity. Although less pronounced, Pb+2 also affected locomotion by increasing distance travelled in rapid movements after 120 hpf exposure, suggesting hyperactivity. Besides, AChE was not responsive and sensitive to Pb+2 or anthracene after 120 hpf exposure." @default.
