- W4285612149 abstract "AbstractTechnology is an essential component for public organizations to provide services efficiently to society. However, it also brings with it a great challenge for managers: dealing with problems and deciding on their order of priority to be solved so that they minimize, as much as possible, the impacts caused by them. Due to the high volume, the need for quick decision-making, and the existence of both simple and complex problems that have different impacts for each institution, there is an opportunity to apply models that help decision-making on the prioritization on which problems to deal first considering several criteria. In this scenario, this paper presents a multi-criteria decision model to assist decision makers on the prioritization of IT problems in order to make the decision more impartial, efficient, and less subjective. Exploring the main concepts of multi-criteria methodology and adopting the MACBETH approach and software, an experience was performed in the IT area of a Public Prosecutor Office in Brazil. After the ordering of real problems, indications of applicability and robustness of the constructed model were obtained.KeywordsDecision supportInformation TechnologyMulticriteria approachProblem Management" @default.
