- W4287379553 abstract "Presented manuscript is devoted to the study of reflection and transmission coefficients from a planar linear dielectric–NL noninteger dimensional interface. Nonlinear medium is of second harmonic generation type hence we only studied the second order characteristics. Slowly varying amplitude approximation is used to solve the nonlinear wave equation. We calculated and studied the coefficients behavior for both S and P-polarization excitation. We also calculate and study the coefficients behavior for ordinary geometry, and the results are compared with the calculated results of the NID medium, to notice the impact of noninteger dimension of nonlinear medium. From the comparison, it is studied that, amplitude of the reflection/transmission coefficients increases/decreases for S-polarization incidence, by taking higher dimension of the nonlinear medium whereas, for P-polarization incidence, amplitude of both coefficients increases by decreasing the dimension of nonlinear NID medium." @default.
