- W4289355301 abstract "Cervical spine was the most flexible part among human spine, which made it easier to be injured. Since finite element model and multi-body dynamic model of human head-neck complex are effective to calculate the detailed stress and strain distribution and dynamic responses respectively, these two kinds of simulation methods had been widely used in neck injury analysis. Often, it is expected that the detailed stress and strain distribution to be acquired more efficiently. However, existing modeling methods are not effective enough especially when applied to simulate the mechanical responses of human head and neck under durable fluctuant accelerations which usually appeared in aviation field. In this chapter, a finite element model and a multi-body dynamic model were developed and a coupling procedure was put forward to efficiently obtain the biomechanical responses of head neck complex, as well as detailed stress and strain distribution. After being validated, an application of coupling usage of these models was presented. Models and the coupling method in this chapter provided a more effective way for the biomechanical analysis of human head and neck responses to durable fluctuant accelerations." @default.
