- W4289639374 abstract "Folie a Deux is another name for the shared psychotic disorder (primarily delusional) responsible for the development of alike psychopathology in two or more closely associated individuals. Comorbid medical disorders associated with the common object of psychopathology are rarely reported so far in the case of Folie a Deux. We encountered a rare case where the distress arising from the shared delusion in a male patient and his mother was challenging in terms of the elucidation of psychopathology and further management. Careful assessment of thoughts, distress, and dysfunction associated with the morbid belief is a cornerstone in the management of such cases. This case report helps us to understand the careful assessment and management of a medical disorder in association with the morbid belief related to same resulting in distress and dysfunction." @default.
