- W4291804311 abstract "Food instability and malnutrition are major concerns for the 21st century. Today, more than one billion people worldwide are malnourished; furthermore, the impending threat of climate change is exacerbating the dilemma. At the same time, due to salination and desertification patterns caused by climate change, the total agriculture of arable land that can support agricultural usage is already nearing its maximum, and may even shrink in the coming years. Evidently, we need to change the way we think about crop production on several levels. Crop types that can deliver higher crop yields with less water and agricultural inputs must be created. Apart from that, crops must have increased nutritional properties in order to lower the risk of hunger caused by malnutrition. It’s difficult to imagine the best way to boost crop production using a single, uniform approach. Instead, a variety of approaches must be used, each tailored to the needs of a specific agricultural setting. Green biotechnology, Bionanomaterials, and bionanotechnology are examples of new high-impact technologies that can boost agricultural productivity while also improving food quality and nutritional value in an environment friendly manner. Therefore this chapter will provide the proper insights related to the role of bionanotechnology in food security, climate change and wastewater treatment" @default.
