Following the introduction to these features, the eclectic theoretical foundations of HRD, which include economic, systemic, and psychological theories, along with its specific theories, are presented. The integration of the three core components of HRD and their interaction with ethical concerns are then highlighted to foreground the balance of development and ethics in the workplace. The chapter then introduces technology trends related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as hyper-automation, multi-experience, and democratization, before discussing both the positive impacts and challenges of the Revolution on the development of HRD in the context of Vietnam. Finally, suggestions are offered to mitigate Vietnam’s struggle to keep up with the fast-changing development of Industrial 4.0 and to develop skilled employees in Vietnam." @default.
