- W4293147071 abstract "From the laboratorial experiment results in previous chapters, it can be known that spinel inclusions would be hard to avoid during the massive steelmaking production, because of the wide use of MgO-based slag making materials and refractory materials. For example, during the ladle furnace (LF) refining in industrial production, it would be difficult to avoid spinel inclusions because of the easy proceeding of slag-steel reactions. To decrease spinel inclusions, some specific reactions between slag and steel should be prohibited. Based on this consideration, the present authors carried out exploring studies in the laboratory. Moreover, a technical concept of targeting “MnS + oxide” was also proposed and attempted in the experiment, with the aim of utilizing deformable MnS to wrap the un-deformable oxides and relieve the bad effects of such hard particles in steel." @default.
