The enforceability of political accountability and the transparency of the political system can be considered as the political factors of corruption. The aim of the study is to quantitatively confirm the impact of the degree of political accountability and transparency of the political system on corruption in country. The quantitative testing of relationship between corruption (measured by Corruption Perceptions Index), enforceability of political accountability (measured by Rule of Law Index) and the transparency of the political system determined by freedom of press (measured by Press Freedom Index) and quality of institution (included in Global Competitiveness Index) is realized. The relevance enforceability of political accountability and the transparency of the political system as political factors of corruption are confirmed by statistical methods and discussed in broader socio-political context.
