- W4293718631 abstract "Silver sulfadiazine (SSD) as an antibacterial agent is widely used in the topical treatment of wound infections. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have also been considered in the field of drug delivery in recent years due to their attractive properties. In this work, in order to increase the antibacterial efficiency, the Cu-BTC MOF was used as a platform for the incorporation of SSD. Physical characterization of compounds was performed using FT-IR, PXRD, SEM, TEM, EDX-mapping, N2 adsorption-desorption, TGA and ICP-OES techniques. The performance of the compounds against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacterium was assessed by agar well diffusion and plate colony count bioassays. The results showed that in both methods, the effectiveness of [email protected] is more than Cu-BTC and SSD. The gradual release of silver and copper and their synergistic effect was the reason for improving and a time-dependent antibacterial activity in [email protected]" @default.
