- W4294018795 abstract "The construction of the Palace of the Bank of Italy, now Gregorčičev drevored 3 in Postojna commenced in the summer of 1924. It was implemented by the Trieste-based Doria & Oblach company in accordance with the preliminary project prepared by the technical office of the Bank of Italy’s central management and in congruence with the sketches provided by the local technical management. After interruptions in the winters of 1925 and 1926, the construction was completed in the summer of 1927. Trieste’s branch office of the Bank of Italy in Postojna opened its door to the public on the 15th of October in 1927. This article describes the construction process and procedures following the opening, related to the abandonment of the building’s original use and its passing through the hands of different institutions. The article is based on obtained archival sources as well as the author’s own observations made during the renovation works performed in 2020 and 2021, in which she took part as the responsible conservator." @default.
