- W4295837650 abstract "In this paper, we examine the magnetic properties of a molecule formed by two tetrahedra connected at their common vertex by a single spin-1 ion, while the corners of their two equilateral bases are occupied by spin-½ ions. The partition function was calculated and the relevant other variables were derived using the Heisenberg spin model. In the case of predominantly ferromagnetic exchange couplings, the spin structure is fully saturated and behaves like a large spin-4 unique magnet. Antiferromagnetic coupling can severely frustrate the spins of the nanodevice. This may lead to several exotic phenomena. Therefore, the magnetization can be quantified into plateaus separated by quantum phase transitions. A quantum spin liquid state is then encountered at low temperatures. The purpose of this contribution is to encourage experimentalists to develop molecular magnets as the basis for innovative nanoscale applications." @default.
