- W4295997918 abstract "Magnetism began with the discovery of the first magnetic material, known as magnetite. There are three general methods for magnetic measurements they are: extraction technique, vibrating sample magnetometer and SQUID magnetometer. The SQUID, standing for the superconducting quantum interference device, is a highly sensitive fluxmeter for the measurement of magnetic properties such that the integration is taken into account through counting of voltage steps. Susceptibility is the most interesting phenomenon in magnetic substances. It has been found that the field-dependent magnetization curve is linear in nature except at a very high field and at a very low field. There are two important methods for the measurement of susceptibility, they are: Curie method and Gouy method. The spatial extent of a phase is also limited by some considerations like a single stripe in a charge-ordered region is too minute to be considered as a separate thermodynamic entity and hence as a separate phase." @default.
