- W4297314897 abstract "A novel heterogeneous, superparamagnetic, nano-particle supported, selenoether/amido functionalized N-heterocyclic carbene-Pd(II) pincer complex encapsulated on silica-coated iron oxides (Fe3O4) was synthesized. The as-prepared nano-catalyst was fully characterized byFourier- transformation infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Energy dispersive X-ray analysis(EDX), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Morphology and size of nanoparticles were scrutinized by Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM) analysis. The synthesized nano-catalyst was found to be highly efficient for CO cross-coupling reactions. The catalytic system worked sunder phosphine and inert-free condition and avoids the use of bulky moisture-sensitive bases. The catalyst can be easily separated from reaction media by an external magnet and can be reused for six consecutive cycles without any significant loss of activity. The novel and double-separation strategy with negligible leaching of Pd from the Selenoether- N-heterocyclic carbene-Pd pincer complex makes it an eco-friendly and economical catalyst in terms of activity and recyclability." @default.
