- W4297347727 abstract "AbstractSocial networking websites are a popular platform for social interaction and exchange of information and communication. Research in the past has explored the role of the theory of personality and users of social networking sites and successfully established a relationship between users of such sites and personality traits. While most of the work in literature has focused on predicting, with varying degrees of accuracy, the personality traits of Twitter users, the current work focused on determining whether a relationship exists between the personality traits and the nature of tweets. The present study not only explored the application of sentiment analysis and Big Five personality model to examine the personality trait through tweets, but also attempts to establish a relationship between “extraversion” and the polarity of tweets. Results of the study showed that users with extraversion as a dominant trait tend to tweet more positively.KeywordsPersonalitySentiment analysisBig FivePersonality trait predictionPersonality analysisMachine learning" @default.
