Cyclic potentiodynamic polarization experiments performed under acidic conditions revealed pre-passivation due to abundance of network modifying metals in HEA composition which was further analyzed by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Elemental resolved analysis of leftover solutions was used to compare metal ions released during corrosion. X-ray diffraction analysis indicated the phase change in heat treated HEA samples. Non-heat treated HEA samples can be compared with stainless steel under moderate corrosion conditions and had better hardness results." @default.
