UV–vis diffuse reflection (DRS) spectra revealed that the prepared Ag2S-HAp nanocomposites possessed an intensive absorption in the visible light range. The synergistic effect of the both compounds can lead to a higher photocatalytic activity. This work provides an initiative to the design and develops a highly efficient photocatalysis using a coupled HAp as adsorbent with Ag2S-based photoactive. Under visible light, the photocatalytic capacity of the prepared composite catalysts was evaluated against methylene blue as a model. Compared to the individual Ag2S and HAp materials, 10Ag2S-HAp achieved good photocatalytic efficiency (85%) after 120 nm of illumination time." @default.
