- W4298149356 abstract "In this paper, we consider the entropy generation of two-dimensional flow induced by the linear stretching of a heated surface in the streamwise direction. Liquid and gas-type materials depending on temperature are considered near the boundary layer region. Temperature-dependent liquid viscosity is used to examine the behaviour of flow which shows increase in flow temperature profile, but for gases opposite effect is noticed. The energy equation is considered under the effect of Rosseland approximation. Under different transformations, the base flow velocity, temperature, concentration, and entropy profiles are illustrated. Furthermore, dependence of the thermo-physical characteristics on temperature and concentration and are also considered. Numerical solutions of the governing equations are calculated by using a RK-five integration technique along with a shooting method. All the obtained results, including the base flow, temperature, concentration, and entropy profiles are discussed. The physical interpretation has been given through figures and tables. • The boundary-flows over heated linear stretching surface is computed for modified viscous fluids. • We also discussed the modified viscous fluid and entropy generation. • Variable fluid properties, viscous dissipation and radiative heat flux are considered under the entropy generation. • For large Reynolds number the basic flow may be determined numerically in terms of a similarity variable. • Resulting in enhanced heat transfer properties of the fluid." @default.
