- W4304734169 abstract "To break through the drawback of the low capacity of graphite as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), the development of novel electrode materials is crucial for high-performance LIBs. Recently, MXene with a two-dimensional nanosheet structure has attracted extensive attention due to its numerously exposed lithium storage sites and shortened transport paths as well as superior conductivity. Here, the Co-doped MXene (Co@MXene) composite-based anode for LIBs was prepared using alkali-treated MXene matrix and Co ions through electrostatic adsorption under relatively mild conditions, delivering excellent reversible capacity (1283.2 mA h g–1 at 0.1 A g–1 after 120 cycles) and long-term stability (349.4 mA h g–1 at 1 A g–1 after 1000 cycles). Impressively, the preparation of anodes in a simple method and under moderate operating conditions is superior to the conventional preparation approach, which facilitates practical applications. This work provides ideas for the design of advanced LIB anode materials with quick reaction kinetics, presenting tremendous potential in electrochemical energy storage applications." @default.
