Todays violence is invisible and potential, and itself occupies the status of normality, structured and internalized. Therefore, it is difficult to specify the perpetrator while there are victims who are suffering. 〈Firing a part-timer〉 and〈Hana’s Breath〉, which depict violent situations occurring in the workplace, do not set the subject of gaze and voice as the victim. Since information is delivered through the gaze and voice of a person other than the victim, information on the problem situation or information on the victim is naturally limited or intentionally distorted. Such delayed, omitted, distorted, and biased information confuses the readers empathy and judgment in the course of the narrative development. Furthermore, it makes the reader doubt and reflect on what he believed and followed as normal and natural. In doing so, texts force readers to face the structural violence inherent in their perceptions and attract them to problematic situations that they thought had nothing to do with themselves and ignored. In this way, it brings the reader closer to the problem of structural violence and makes them realize that they may be internalized perpetrators or passive bystanders of structural violence. And texts make readers experience uncomfortable feelings such as shame and guilt about their attitudes. As such, it is the literary way of dealing with todays violence with the status of normality that confronts shameful problems by transforming the most powerful point of view and voice in the story." @default.
