In the first half of the 1920s, the word content value of novels was discussed in Japan and Korea. Instead of the existing practice of considering formal perfection as the standard for judging the value of a novel, they set up sanctions or content as the standard. However, the reason for doing so was different, because in Japan, it was seen that everyday life, rather than organic, poetic, was an inherent characteristic of the novel genre, and in Korea, everyday life, which was a sanction for novels, was experienced classically differently. However, in spite of these differences, Korea and Japan are beginning to understand that the genre of fiction is, in fact, the object of a divided and contradictory life concrete. It was emphasized that the concrete life includes not only full artistry, but also moral values, axiomatic judgment, and political attitude. This means that the concept of artistry should be expanded through the unique characteristics of the novel genre as a medium. At the same time, it means that the concept of a modern novel that reproduces real life was a place of debate that had to be defined by someone." @default.
