- W4306926364 abstract "To overcome the inherent constraints of traditional theranostic materials, the emergence of two-dimensional materials (2D) has generated considerable interest in their inherent uses for biomaterials and nanomedicine. Due to their distinct physicochemical characteristics, MXenes, a recent class of materials composed of transition metal carbides/nitrides, have generated significant participation in many biological applications. MXenes have remarkable potential for photothermal energy conversion. The wide variety of metal elements in MXenes allows them to function as contrast agents for computed tomography (CT) scans and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). It has been found that using various nanoparticles (NPs) is beneficial in managing and diagnosing neurodegenerative disorders. Due to the capacity of NPs to cross the blood–brain barrier (BBB), drug delivery to various regions of the brain has become easier. In this proceeding, we elucidate the role of MXenes in neurodegenerative disorders like Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and Alzheimer’s Disease (AD)." @default.
